This project prepared a set of assessment and intervention tools, with around 15 cognitive and linguistic assessment tasks, targeting immigrant students from Portugal. Assessment tools are being assessed for the Portuguese immigrant school population and will, after validation, be displayed in an electronic repository of instruments serving the national educational system. Deficient school practices and the lack of research in the area of processes and cognitive processing in Second Language are the basis of this investigation, as well as the increasing presence of migrant groups and groups with refugee status. This research project is currently organized: (1) application of tests for validation in a migrant population (including refugee populations); (2) data analysis and creation of cognitive and linguistic profiles of linguistic minority groups; (3) analysis of teachers' representations towards the immigrant student population; (4) preparation of a app for immigrant and foreign populations: assisted learning in European Portuguese; (5) construction of the instrument repository on a web platform (6).
